*This is an introductory foraging class. If you came to my previous workshop, you won't see/hear/learn that much new except that you will see the plants in different stages than before. However, the key to learning any new language (the landscape has its own) is repetition, repetition, repetition so you can still gain from this!*
DONATION-BASED CLASS + FORAY
SATURDAY, May 21 at 10am, South Lakes Park, Denton, TX
Food is all around us! After this plant walk with Ian, a Denton-based wild food forager, you may never look at the land around you in the same way. Over the past few years, Ian has changed his perception of nature from a giant wall of anonymous green stuff to a rich mosaic of individuals and connections that humans have interacted with and been a part of for our entire history. He sees this eye-opening journey as one of the greatest joys of his life and wants to share it with you. You will have a chance to see many different edible and medicinal species, taste some new foods, and hopefully take back some inspiration (and even some seeds) for your garden and your kitchen!
This monthly series, hosted by Ian Campbell, is sponsored by Wildscapers to promote our local foraging network.
Join us by cultivating your foraging skills as we gather through the seasons!
